Think
luxury on wheels, and the first name that comes to the mind is Audi.
The wholly owned Indian subsidiary of German auto giant Audi, Audi
India first started selling Audi cars in India in 2004. And the country
received their technology with arms wide open. But that's not true for
just India, Audi is infact a renowned brand throughout the world. 110
countries to be precise. And what works so well for Audi cars is the
fact that they continue to be the pioneers of cutting-edge technology,
further wrapped in exotic bodies. Since the time of its founder, August
Horch, the company has never failed to innovate, be it technology or
design. And the 'four-ringed' brand's massive success speaks for the
top-notch cars they offer.
Although they started selling Audi cars in India way back in 2004, Audi India wasn't established until 2007. But with the setting up a sales division focussed solely on India, Audi made its ambitious long-term plans for the country quite evident. And given its smart strategy, which includes agressive investment in branding, marketing, exclusive dealerships and after sales services, Audi cars have been doing quite well. According to reports, its sales figures for the year 2012, surpassed the sales number for 2011 by a staggering 6417 units by September. Audi India also recorded a growth of 82 per cent in the year 2012 as compared to 2011.

Since
the moment they stepped foot in the nation's market, Audi cars have led
the SUV segment. The Audi Q series, which includes Audi Q3, Audi Q5,
and Audi Q7, has been a major hit among the sports loving and
performance conscious Indians. The growth rate of 52 per cent is proof
to that. But it isn't only Audi's SUVs that have found such favour
among Indians. Despite the weak economic conditions, India has not been
wary of spending moolah because Audi's sports car segment, i.e. Audi
R8, Audi RS5 and Audi TT Coupe, has fared equally well.
But what is the driving force behind the consistent performance of Audi cars in India? Apart from offering the finest Audi cars, which are an amalgamation of quality and technology, Audi India strengthens its stance in the country by offering the best service to their customers. All in all, Audi India's network includes 21 dealerships in eleven states and two Union territories. The company will be seen upping that number to 25 by adding dealerships to cities like Lucknow and Kanpur among others.
