Mahindra Bolero Invader ownership experience

 

In order to help people with ownership experiences which can be influential in one’s decision regarding a particular model, we ask vehicle owners their experience with the vehicle. This is real time information from the vehicle owners and is indeed very helpful for the prospective customers. 

 

We interview Mr.Girish who owns a 2005 Mahindra Invader which has done close to 90,000kms. It has a 2523cc diesel engine which produces maximum power of 60PS at 3200 rpm and a toque of 195Nm at 2200 rpm. This vehicle is 4215mm in length, 1815mm in width and has a height of 19190mm. It has a ground clearance of 180mm. This vehicle has all basic features and was used for industrial purposes.

 

Question: Since when do you own the car, what motivated to go for the brand and model?

Answer:  We bought this vehicle n 2007.As I am a business man, I needed a multi utility Vehicle for supplying the Metal Fabrication parts and for personal use. This was the one which suited my requirement much. There is ample space with opposite facing seats with each comfortable seating for 3 persons Serves best for trips with friends/relatives along with good lot of things for comfort of trip.

 

Question: Can you tell us about the modifications and usage done so far.

Answer: When we bought the vehicle, at that time it had been used for about 30,000KM.The cushioning was spoilt and  engine needed some repairs. We had spent about 50,000Rs for getting the vehicle ready in best of condition including upholstery. Till now it has been used for about 60,000Km and still in best of condition. It has been used extensively for trips all around Karnataka and for our industrial purpose also. These days it’s used particularly for Industrial supply purpose only.

 

Question: Tell something about present status of car

Answer:  As one can see, the cushioned seats have been removed and metal seats are used for space and utility of carrying fabrication products. With respect to engine and suspension, vehicle handling, it’s in best of condition with no brake down since many years.

 

Questions: How is experience compared to earlier cars?

Answer: We had owned some of the cars such as Maruti 800, Hyundai Santro. The specialty of this vehicle is the utility and seating capacity which makes it an unique option.

 

Question: How about cost per service?

Answer: Most of the time service cost would range at around 5,000Rs including oil changes and all technical works.

 

Question: Any accident repairs done, insurance claimed?

Answer: As I am very much experience in driving and do take care to drive at safe speed during city driving, taking out from parking lot so no accidents have occurred so far. However, the interiors need much of repairs as the vehicle is extensively used for metal parts supply, there are scratches due to loading off loading processes.

 

Question: How about mileage?

Answer: Mileage is less for a car which so much power, I get around 10Kmpl in city and 13 in highway 

 

Question: Can   you tell us about your experience in long drives

Answer: We had taken the vehicle to on many long drives 500km and more. It gives comfortable ride, no much stress and many of the times I could drive at 90 KMPH without feel of vibration or excessive noise. After 90Kmpl, Vehicle vibrates a bit. It’s a comfortable drive spacious vehicle. The major factor is the seating arrangement and spacious interiors with which one can truly enjoy company of group of friends. As it’s a hard top version, no worries of weather conditions like rain, strong breeze etc.

Question: Any brake down faced  and how did problem  was solved?

Answer: No Brake down faced till now.

 

Question: Any good and bad experience at service station?

Answer: As I have good contact with experienced local mechanics, maintenance is never a problem. Even for major repairs when it was bought, was done at local garage only. As spares is available in almost all spares shops, maintenance is not a problem.

Question: How do you rate the overall ownership, would you recommend the same to others?

Answer:  Since the time we bought it, it has been a very good companion for me and for my factory. We have made maximum utility of the vehicle. With good maintenance it can still be used for quite a long time.

 

Question: If going for new car which brand and make would you choose and why?

Answer: We recently bought Tata Xenon. This being used much for personal usage and also utility vehicle. It has the best combination of power, performance, comfortable seating for 5 passengers. 

 

Conclusion

In above interview we have given the actual ownership experience about Mahindra Invader. Though it has been extensively used, it’s in best of running condition. Though the features available is very less, its serves the purpose. The body condition, styling with broad vision for the passengers do add to the company of friends.
